3CX is priced per system, per year. Not per user. Add staff and the licence does not change. That is the single biggest difference between 3CX and almost every other business phone system, and it is why 3CX gets cheaper per head the bigger you get.
3CX publishes its prices in euros. Below is what that works out to in New Zealand dollars. All prices exclude GST.
Pricing is based on simultaneous calls, written SC. That is how many conversations can be happening at the same moment, not how many staff you have.
A ten person office rarely needs ten. Most people are not on the phone at the same time, and internal calls between extensions are free. As a rough guide, a 4SC system suits up to about 15 extensions and an 8SC system up to about 40.
Buy too few and callers get engaged tones at your busiest moment. Buy too many and you are paying for capacity you never touch. This is the part worth getting right, and it is the part we help with.
Larger systems are available up to 1024 SC. Ask us and we will quote. Prices move with the euro exchange rate, so treat these as current rather than fixed forever.
Call queues, IVR menus, call recording, reporting, CRM integration, the apps and the web client. If you want a phone system that works properly, Pro is it.
AI Receptionist, call screening, transcription, sentiment analysis and the AI agents. Worth it if you are missing calls out of hours or want to know how conversations actually went.

Look at your busiest hour rather than your headcount. Most small offices are fine on 4SC, and most businesses under forty people on 8SC. If you run a queue or a reception desk that gets hammered, you may need more. Tell us what happens on a Monday morning and we will size it.
